Ashley Buxton

Multi-Disciplinary Music Professional

West Midlands-based Ashley Buxton spent 12 years as a trumpeter with Her Majesty’s Coldstream Guards’ Regimental Band. Starting his Army career at 18, he won the 2000 Besson Brass Player of the Year award and performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including a royal wedding and Live 8. After earning his BMus Hons from Trinity College in 2007, he became a qualified teacher in 2011.

Charlotte Buxton

Award-Winning Music Educator

Charlotte Buxton is an accomplished clarinetist and saxophonist with 20+ years in music education. Based in the West Midlands, she trained at Trinity Music College and now serves as Deputy Head Music Service and Head of Ensembles in Birmingham. Her work during the pandemic earned her the 2021 “Gold Star” award from Music and Drama awards.
