Ashley Buxton served as the Director of Music at a grammar school in the West Midlands for eight years and now teaches part-time at a local middle school. His distinguished background includes a 12-year tenure as a trumpeter with Her Majesty’s Coldstream Guards’ Regimental Band. Beginning his Army career at 18 as a professional trumpeter, Ashley’s achievements include winning the Besson Brass Player of the Year 2000 at the Royal Military School of Music, where he also received a Certificate for Exceptional Proficiency on the Trumpet/Cornet.

During his military service, he performed at a royal wedding, appeared on live television, contributed to 36 commercially recorded CDs, played at Live 8, and performed in premier concert halls worldwide.

After earning his BMus (Hons) in Music from Trinity College in 2007, Ashley transitioned to teaching in 2011, obtaining his Qualified Teacher Status through Bromley Schools’ Collegiate. He now dedicates himself to working with musicians and pupils in the Midlands.

Beyond his musical and teaching expertise, Ashley is a proficient website designer who combines creativity with technical knowledge to create engaging, user-friendly websites. He also specialises in videography, crafting compelling visual narratives.
